R&D capacity

POWERCHINA, a leader in technological innovation in hydropower, thermal power, power transmission and transformation, and new energies, has four post-doc worksites, three academic worksites, four State-level R&D institutes, 30 provincial-level R&D institutes, and 27 provincial new and high-tech companies.

POWERCHINA has one member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 222 people with State Council subsidies, nine survey and design specialists, 1,917 professor-level senior engineers, 11,640 senior engineers, 38,776 technical staff with mid-level qualifications, 3,444 employees with a doctorate or master's degree, and 20,182 with undergraduate degrees.
