Is Valentine's Day too commercial?

I prefer my husband to ignore Valentine's Day and buy me flowers on one of the other 364 days of the year. That shows some initiative and that he really loves me instead of going through the moves just because it's Valentine's Day and he's supposed to. It's not like it's a real holiday anyway.
