Is Valentine's Day too commercial?

Those who feel Valentine's Day is some attempt to force them to do something are hypocrites unless they abstain from all holidays, festivals and other celebrations. Do they object to going to the pub and buying a pint for a mate on St.Patty's? Do they abstain for buying Christmas prezzies for their family at Christmas? If they do abstain from all of these, then they are simply anti-social.
