Taliban and ISIS may take Afghanistan after US leaves

The US will continue to support the security forces of Afghanistan, and more than 10,000 soldiers will remain in US military bases in the country for a long time.

The chaos in Iraq and Syria caused by the Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) has escalated since the US withdrew its troops from the Iraq, because the Iraq government wasn't able to fill the "power vacuum" left by the US forces.

The situation in Afghanistan shares many similarities with that of Iraq. The Afghanistan government cannot effectively control many parts of the country's territory. The Taliban forces and ISIS can take the opportunity to fill the vacuum left by the US.
