China, US should work together

Comment on "A subtle US warning for Abe" (China Daily, Feb 11)

The US' fear that China will become more powerful and eventually challenge it is totally unfounded. Even if China becomes one of the world's top great powers, it will never harm other countries.

Chinese people know well that winning other people's hearts and minds is the best way to spread their influence. The Chinese government has vowed to improve people's livelihood and maintain peace and stability in the world, goals that are similar to that of the US. Perhaps the US and China should work together to achieve these goals.
