The man, surnamed Yuan, had married his wife, surnamed Zhou, a year earlier. Zhou read the post on Jan 8 and felt sad as she thought her marriage was a happy one. Yuan then apologized, telling his wife that he wrote the message while in a bad mood.           Man blames fatal crash on girlfriend

          The driver in a fatal car crash tried to blame the wreck on his girlfriend, who was killed when the vehicle struck a roadside flower bed, police said. Police said Xiang fled with his lover to Shaanxi and Gansu provinces, and finally settled down in Chongyang. He was arrested on Jan 6 after police were tipped off about his identity. The investigation is continuing.

          'Fake prostitute' phones police

          A 30-year-old woman in Wuyi county called police last week and told them she was a prostitute in order to flee a relative who caught her having an affair at a hotel.
