Jiangsu Weifu Group,formerly known as Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone Group Company, was established in December 1993. In 2019, Weifu Group was transformed from an enterprise owned by the people to a wholly State-owned limited company in accordance with the requirements of the modern enterprise system in China.
Since 2014, the group has been promoting transformation and upgrading from "governmental platform" to "market entity". By optimizing headquarters' management and control, deepening corporate governance, integrating assets and resources, and strengthening market expansion, the group has fully realized the transformation of kinetic energy and the total size of market-oriented development projects has reached about 3 million square meters.
Weifu Group has also received awards and honors, such as China's top 100 real estate enterprises, Jiangsu province's top 50 real estate enterprises and China's creative leading team.
The NETDA Free Trade Zone got the original go-ahead, on Jan 3, 2013, from the State Council, for a 5.29-sq-km area, in two parts.
