A tourism village, featuring the ethnic Miao and Dong cultures will open in Lisbon, capital city of Portugal, according to the Guizhou and Portugal officials at the Eco Forum Global in Guiyang city, Guizhou's capital on June 27.
A mountainous province in Southwest China, Guizhou is renowned for its cultural diversity and pristine natural beauty. The province is trying to highlight characteristics unique to the province to boost its eco-tourism industry.
Guizhou will not sacrifice its environment for faster economic growth, but will attach the same importance to them to try and increase economic, social and ecological benefits, its top official said.
The China Eco-Culture Association selected 50 photos that showcase the best of China's countryside based on the theme of the China Pavilion at the Expo Milano 2015, "Land of Hope, Food for Life".
