On 25 November, 2015, CGGC signed Phase I contract of Ecuador's Yachay Knowledge City Project with Yachay National Project Company. Wang Yulin, Ambassador of China to Ecuador was invited to attend the signing ceremony.

Located in Ecuador, the Yachay Knowledge City is a key project in the National Development Planning of the country. Its planning and designing contains a number of public scientific-research centers and university towns which are integrated with industrial parks, agricultural production areas, tourism development zones and residential areas. Upon completion, it will become the first center of higher education and scientific research in Ecuador, even in Latin America. The contract term of Phase I project undertaken by CGGC lasts 28 months. CGGC will be responsible for constructing such facilities as urban water supply and drainage systems, teaching centers, medical centers, libraries, data centers, technical colleges and kindergartens, all of which are supplied with corresponding testing and co
