The impact of devaluation on potential overseas tourists is direct, as the cost for overseas trips go up as the renminbi depreciates, people have to pay about 1,700 yuan more for $10,000, 3,100 yuan for 10,000 Euro and 30,00 for 10,000 pounds, compared to the exchange rate in January 2014.
