The number of global unicorns reached 586 this year, increasing 92 from last year, with the total valuation at $1.9 trillion (13.24 trillion yuan), according to ranking agency Hurun.
Beijing is the capital of the world's unicorns, with 93 startups worth at least a billion dollars and not yet listed on a public exchange, followed by San Francisco with 68 unicorns and Shanghai with 47 unicorns.
