MANILA - Ash from the steam-triggered explosion took place in Mt. Bulusan in central Philippines at 9:15 am Monday.

The Ash from the explosion reached as high as 2km, local media quoted Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology ( PHIVOLCS) Director Renato Solidum as saying.
