3 Chinese designer holds show at Solana

A fashion show Flowers in People's Hearts featuring 58 outfits by Chinese designer Cao Yiwen was held on Oct 28 at the Yang Art Museum in Beijing's Solana shopping park. Inspired by American movies from the 1960s to 1980s, the actress-turned-designer wanted to convey the happiness and romance women enjoyed in the old days.

"I hope that the show reminds busy urban dwellers that we can still live a life with flowers, butterflies, music and dance," says Cao.

The Yang Art Museum, founded by Chinese collector Stella Wang, is dedicated to supporting Chinese contemporary art and reaching out to communities with diverse art-education programs.
