Gymnastics school heads accused of sexual assault

Shanghai-based Oriental Morning Post reported Wednesday that the head of the school, Liu Zhiqiang, 48, and deputy head Zeng Rong, 52, were detained in November 2013 under suspicion of molesting six students on several occasions. Oriental Morning Post quoted officials of the public security bureau of Kaifu district - which is still investigating this case - as saying that it has not revealed any details as the case involves minors. The school is famous for launching the careers of Chinese Olympic champions Liu Xuan and Li Xiaopeng, and the school's graduates have won a total of six Olympic gold medals, 15 gold World Championships medals and two at the Asian Games.
