Reactions to the 66th annual Golden Globe Awards, announced Sunday in Beverly Hills, Calif.:

          • "It's always beautiful to think of him and remember him." — Aaron Eckhart, who co-starred in "The Dark Knight" with Heath Ledger, talking about the late actor. Ledger earned the supporting-actor Globe for his role as the Joker in the Batman film.
          • "It's been a very long road back for me." — Mickey Rourke, who won a dramatic actor Globe for his role in the film "The Wrestler."
          • "It's going to be a tough year for people, for everybody all over. But we've been fortunate to be brought here from Bollywood to Hollywood, and it's like a mad, pulsating affection people have shown us." — Danny Boyle, director of "Slumdog Millionaire," winner of four Golden Globes, including best drama and best director for Boyle.
          • "We're in for a tough year, so it feels weird to be celebrating." — Danny Boyle, on the bittersweet timing of winning.
          • "I've loved you for 13 years and your performance in this film is nothing short of spectacular." — Kate Winslet to "Revolutionary Road" co-star Leonardo DiCaprio. Winslet was reunited with DiCaprio, her "Titanic" co-star, in the film. She won two Globes, best dramatic actress for "Revolutionary Road" and supporting actress for "The Reader."
          • "I thought that Anne Hathaway was going to win. No question. I really do feel like this is a dream. Has this happened before? This is not supposed to happen." — Kate Winslet, on winning her second Globe.
          • "I'll try and get through as much as my voice and nerves and knees will let me." — Sally Hawkins, a relatively unknown British actress and newcomer to Hollywood's awards scene, who won as musical or comedy actress for her role in "Happy-Go-Lucky."
          • "I would like her to be well and happy and do whatever she wants." — Tina Fey, on what she wants Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin to do now. Fey won a Globe for "30 Rock."
          • "I'm 62 years old. Am I old enough to win a lifetime achievement award? Yes, I am. Thank you very much." — Steven Spielberg, who received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement.
          • "For 40 years he's been inventing and reinventing cinema with each new picture." — Martin Scorsese on lifetime achievement winner Steven Spielberg.
          • "I feel so old. I remember when I used to bring Rumer Willis a juice box on the set of the movie." — Alec Baldwin, talking about Miss Golden Globe Rumer Willis, daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. Baldwin won a Globe for "30 Rock."
          • "That is the last time I have sex with 200 middle-aged journalists." — Comedian-actor Ricky Gervais, on not getting a nomination.
          • "I will cherish this (raising statuette) as a reminder of the extraordinary, incredible outpouring of people who demanded their voice be heard in this last election so we can look forward to amazing change in this country. Thank you so much. — Laura Dern, accepting her supporting actress Globe for the TV movie "Recount."
