During the Spring Festival holiday from Jan 31 to Feb 6, a city tour has become a new trend among residents of Liangjiang New Area, which was partly due to strict pandemic prevention and control requirements across various administrative regions.

The coming of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics has drawn more people to winter sports and activities. Many parents chose to bring their kids to the indoor skiing stadiums.

"We received more than 4,000 visits daily during the festival, five times more than our normal amount. The Winter Games have sparked people's enthusiasm for winter sports", said an official of the Chongqing Jihua Park.

Traditional custom performances held in the Liangjiang International Film City, such as the Spring Festival grand parade, wedding customs, lion dances, and gods of wealth giving out red packets, have been well-received.

"It has been so long since I witnessed such splendid performances. They reminded me of when I was young," said a resident surnamed Wang.

The dance-poem drama Thousands Miles of Mountains and Rivers that debuted in the 2022 Spring Festival Gala was well-received among audiences, and inspired people to admire the dynamic Ten Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains – a renowned ancient Chinese painting that inspired the drama– at the Lijia Smart Park in Liangjiang.
