The Dassault Systemes Transportation Forum was held on Sept 23 in Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality.

With the slogan "making new breakthroughs in transportation, leading an intelligent era", the forum was attended by scholars and experts from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China Societiy of Automotive Engineers, and China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co.

Topics such as virtual twins, user experience, autonomous driving, and intelligent workshops were discussed at the forum.

Li Jie, member of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Party Work Committee, and vice-director of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee, participated in the event, hailing Dassault Systemes as an internationally advanced industrial software firm that offers software system services and technological support to many enterprises involved in automobiles, electronics, aviation, and medicine.

On behalf of the new area, Li expressed the hope that Dassault Systemes would provide technological and training services to the innovation teams of medium- and small-sized enterprises based in the new area.

Li Mingcai, vice president of China Chang'an Automobile Group Co, highlighted Dassault Systemes's contribution to an increase in automobile sales. Chang'an Automobile has been reportedly cooperating with Dassault Systemes in 3D auto design, computer-aided engineering, and automobile engineering digitalization.

Luo Xiwen, executive vice president of Dassault Systemes, said that over the nearly 20 years since the company joined the Chinese market, Dassault Systemes has been promoting the idea of progressing with China, taking full advantage of its strength in big data and AI to boost the auto industry in China.
