Chongqing Yuelai International Conference Center has entered the list of 2015 Annual Outstanding Conference Hotels, according to the Liangjiang administration committee.

Statistics show that the modern service industry has developed rapidly this year. In the first three quarters of 2015, the added value of Liangjiang service industry rose by 13 percent compared to the same period the previous year.

The convention industry has played a significant role in promoting the area's service industry. In the first three quarters of this year, Chongqing Yuelai International Conference Center hosted a range of conferences, such as the Annual Meeting of the Chongqing Mayor's International Economic Advisory Council. In that conference, more than 30 senior executives from the Fortune Global 500 enterprises gathered in Chongqing to discuss the development of the city.

Chongqing has made concrete efforts to construct itself into a convention city in recent years. Yuelai International Conference Center is now the biggest conference center in Southwest China. The center was completed and put into operation at the end of 2013 and has since held successful conferences there, such as the 16th China (Chongqing) International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair.
