Energy Internet is now being launched around the world, and China is starting its development in E-town.

Energy Internet is a product of the integration of the Internet and energy. It uses Internet technology to achieve an interconnection, opening and sharing of energy.

China is developing its own Energy Internet in two stages. The first stage is from 2016 to 2018, when pilot projects will be launched; the second is from 2019 to 2025, when the Energy Internet industry system will be built to form an open and sharing Energy Internet environment.

E-town is taking the first step to build the Energy Internet in China. A company in E-town has established the first international standard of Energy Internet, IEEE1888, which lays a foundation for the formation of future production chains.

E-town has also set up the first national intelligent energy public service cloud platform to integrate energy data around the country, and provide data monitoring, data analysis, and risk management services.

In the future, with Energy Internet, everyone will use their cellphones or computers to get digital information about their energy consumption condition, carbon emission index and residential electricity usage.

E-town will also build a China Energy Internet Tower, to attract more international research institutions to E-town, and prepare for building the Energy Internet Innovation Center.
