Annoroad recently announced a strategic cooperation plan with Alibaba Cloud Computing Ltd. The two parties will build a biological big data analysis platform “Annoyun” on the basis of Alibaba’s cloud services.

The platform will provide analysis and storage services for high-throughput genome sequencing data. It will help promote development of precision medicine in China.

Annoroad, a leading company in gene analysis in E-town, has accumulated a large number of biological samples and gene data since its establishment. With the help of Annoyun, Annoroad will be able to provide necessary services for fertility clinical application in China, and offer better solutions for its partners in risk prevention, early diagnosis, customized medicine use, and effect monitoring.

Alibaba Cloud Computing, a world-leading cloud computing platform, will provide distributed cloud services in this cooperation through Aliyun.com, which has powerful computing resources, huge storage space, flexible virtual computing, and a complete safety guarantee system.

Lin Heshan of Aliyun.com said that although setting up a big data platform is very complicated systematic work, Aliyun.com is able to meet the storage, computing and security needs of the platform.

Chen Chongjian, president and CTO of Annoroad, said that the combination of high-throughput genome sequencing and IT technology will greatly improve the accuracy of test results. The new big data platform will lead to more breakthroughs in the genome sequencing industry in the future.
