Favorable business environment boosts investment in Xiamen

The continuous improvement of its business environment has also led to rapid growth of new business entities, at an average annual rate of over 20 percent.

Last year Qudian Inc, a leading Chinese fintech company, led by its founder and CEO Luo Min, moved its headquarters to Xiamen.

Xu Long, senior vice president of Qudian, said that besides Xiamen's business environment, its government's efficient and considerate services were also a key point that attracted the company.

The national headquarters of Luckin Coffee and the operation headquarters of Ucar also relocated to Xiamen not long ago.

According to Lu Zhengyao, Chairman of the two well-known internet brands, Xiamen has a good business environment, high government efficiency and good support policies. Employees also like the livable environment of Xiamen.

At the end of April this year, Xiamen held an investment conference, which led to the upsurge of investment.

During the 2019 China International Fair for Investment and Trade, which concluded on Sept 11 in Xiamen, the city signed 202 projects with a total investment of more than 180 billion yuan.

Among these, more than 25 projects were signed with world top 500 companies, China top 500 companies, and industry leaders.
