| Tourists from Singpore go ashore from the cruise |
With the sirens at 14:58 on Mar 2, more than 350 tourists from Singapore arrived at Yangzhou Port on the cruise Century Paragon. According to the briefing of Yangzhou tourism administration, this is the first big tour group from abroad in 2015, also the biggest foreign tour group since Century Paragon entered service.
The tourists could hardly wait to go ashore as soon as the cruise berthed at Yangzhou Port.
"It was several years ago when I came here last time. It has changed a lot,” said Mr Li, leader of the tour group.
Many Singapore tourists came to Yangzhou for the first time, so Yangzhou tourism administration made a customized tour route – touring the Slender West Lake and the Dongguanjie and Dongquanmen historical blocks, and tasting Huaiyang cuisine at dinner.
This itinerary is part of the Yangtze River Tour. The group started from Shanghai on Mar 1, and will tour Yangzhou, Jiuhua Mountain, Jingde Town, Wuyuan, ancient walls of Jingzhou and ended the journey in Chongqing after 10 days.
