Starting on May 8, Shanghai's Pudong and Hongqiao Airport implemented special security check procedures to strengthen their security control.

It is suggested that passengers should arrive early, in order to avoid delays.

The special security check procedures include a check on whether passengers are carrying explosives, as well as their carry-on luggage and a physical security examination.
