AMG races to fast start

As the high-performance division of Mercedes-Benz, AMG has worked to bring Chinese auto enthusiasts the utmost in driving performance since 2007.

Its "One man, one engine" philosophy ensures each AMG vehicle represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship and engineering, and the brand continues to win new fans with its unmatched performance, sporty character, and exclusive design.

It should come as no surprise, then, that AMG has posted strong growth since arriving in China.

In just seven years, China has become one of AMG's largest markets worldwide. Sales grew by 27 percent in 2013, and growth in the first quarter of 2014 has been even more impressive, substantially outpacing the competition.

AMG has also continued to expand its network, and now boasts 53 AMG Performance Centers in 35 Chinese cities.

It plans to further focus on network development, bringing its vehicles, brand spirit, and customer service promise to more and more customers nationwide.

AMG's vehicle line-up has also expanded alongside its network.

At this year's Auto China, AMG will join the high performance compact segment with the A 45 AMG 4MATIC and CLA 45 AMG 4MATIC.

It will also roll out the S 65 L AMG and premiere the S 63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe, which will take pole position in China's premium high-performance segment thanks to their powerful engines and incredibly sleek design.

As the latest dream car in the AMG family, the S 63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe showcases a stunning package of breath-taking design, irresistible luxury and outstanding driving performance.

Together, they shall expand AMG's line-up to include a full range of segments, including compact cars, luxury flagship models, sedans, coupes, SUVs, and roadsters.

But in many ways, the secret to AMG's success has always been an unwavering commitment to its racing genes. The brand was born on the racetrack, and remains extremely active in the world of motorsports.

Last year, AMG roared its way to victory in its GT Asia Series debut held in Zhuhai.

This year, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team led by Lewis Hamilton and NicoRosberg has already raced to three consecutive victories in Australia, Malaysia and Bahrain behind the latest F1 W05.

Built for the 2014 racing season, the F1 W05 has looked unstoppable, and should continue its successful run this weekend at the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai.
