Jiaozuo city is located in northwest of Henan province, to the north of Taihang Mountain and to the south of the Yellow River.It has 2 cities, 4 counties and 1 new and high-tech developing zone under its jurisdiction. It has a total area of 4.071 square kilometers and a total population of 3.55 million.

Jiaozuo, named "Shan Yang" in ancient time and recognized as the Prefecture of Huaiqing in the Ming Dynasty, enjoys a long history, beautiful landscapes and many outstanding people.
A large number of historical figures, such as Sima Yi, Han Yu, Li Shangyin, and Zhu Zaiyu were born and raised here.
World-famous Chen-style Taijiquan also originated from Jiaozuo. Mt. Yuntai, a world-geo park, is a hot tourists' destination.
Rhizoma iioscorege, radix achyranthis, bidentatae and chrysanthemun, known as 'Four Great Huai Medicines' and enjoy high prestige in the field of traditional Chinese medicine both at home and abroad.
Jiaozuo shares convenient communication with 5 railways and 6 highways passing through and only takes an one-hour drive to Zhengzhou International Airport.
The national key projects, South-to-North Water Divert and West-to-East Gas Transport and scheduled to pass through Jiaozuo.
