Speakers confirmed for China advanced green building summit to highlight costs and financial benefits
Updated: 2009-10-30 18:19 SHANGHAI – Developers in China are hesitant to pursue green building with the beliefs that the market is not mature enough, the cost of green building is higher, and green building initiatives lack government support. These misconceptions are result of the lack of awareness that the costs involved with green building are not high and are driving downward and that the Chinese government is offering incentives for environmental solutions in building. Green building industry experts and senior executives are confirmed to speak at Noppen's China Advanced Green Building Summit to offer insight on the low costs and financial benefits of green building in China. Respected speakers include: Chen Yin, Vice President of Modern Green Development Co., Ltd; Tay Eng Kiat, CEO at Ascendas Korea; Andrew Zheng, CEO of Shenzhen Fountain Corporation; Jules Kwan, Managing Director at Urbn Hotels; and Kevin Mo, Senior Sustainable Building Specialist for The Natural Resources Defence Council.
