? Geographical Location

The economic and technological development zone of Harbin lies in the west part of Harbin city , the position is in up windward of Harbin city. Start ing from Hashuanbei Line in the north, reach Yingbin road in the south, to the planning Fourth Ring Road in the west, the expressway from urban area to the airport is crossing through the development zone.

? Climate 

It belongs to Monsoon area of continent of temperate zone , the average temperature is 3.6oC, the relative humidity is 61%, the hottest monthly temperature on average is 22.8 oC, the coldest monthly temperature on average is 19.4 0C, annual average rainfall is 22.3mm, the whole yea r's sunshine time is 2512 hours , leading wind 's direction is south throughout the year , make s a clear distinction between the four seasons, the climate is pleasant, Sunshine is sufficient , with heavy rainfall, there are less natural calamity , such as wind , rain , snow ,etc. 

? Human Resource

There are 19 higher learning institutions in Harbin, 521 scientific research institutions of all kinds , professional and technical personnel is nearly 400,000, occupy the first place in the whole country in Russian qualified personnel's quantity , having abundant high-quality , low cost human resource, scientific and technological comprehensive strength arranges the 6th of city in China.

? Transportation

Railway :
5 international and domestic trunk railway s are cross ing through Harbin. 7 highways are le ading to all parts of the country. Harbin o pened the first railway freight transportation port in the whole country in 1997, it was the only 1-class inland port of the whole country , can handle the procedures of declaring the Customs and examin ing the formality and transportation business directly

Water transport ation:
The harbor of Harbin is in the center position of Song Hua River , is one of the eight inland ports of China, and has the direct transportation to 4 cities of Russia. T he gold water course of Song Hua River can lead to Japan , Korea and every Southeast Asian port.
Aviation :
Harbin has 58 foreign and domestic routes, can handle the transporting business to more than 100 countries and regions and more than 200 airports. Yingbin road is located in center part of the International airport to the city center; the traffic condition is very convenient

? Encouraged industry

The development zone consists of two concentrating areas of Nangang and Haping road .
Nangang area ,as the base for developing the new high technology project and researching enterprises, is the Center of finance , insurance , intermediary services , food and beverage , travel , culture , recreation center, the headquarters of and the branches of domestic and international famous companies stationed in harbin.

The haping concentration district is regarded as the comprehensive industrial base that develops industrial investment projects , such as automobile and spare part , medicine , food , electron , textile ,etc. having already formed the automobile industry group of relying mainly on the fact that automobile of hafei , engine of Dongan and related factory, the pharmacy industry group of relying mainly on the fact that yida medicine company ,jiangshi medicine company ,etc., the new high-tech industry relying mainly on electrician of Dong Da , electron of yuyang , center of development of Harbin Industry University economy ,etc
