People wave to students heading to gaokao test sites in Mianyang, Southwest China's Sichuan province, June 5, 2014. Over 2,000 students from Luxi High School, taking 70 buses, will take the gaokao over the weekend. The school has been holding the farewell ceremony for the gaokao examinees for 12 years. According to school Principal Zhang Jiayong, the purpose of the ceremony is to cheer the students and encourage the juniors and seniors who are going to the take the exam in one or two years.
