The fertility rate will rise along with the rise of women's social and economic status. If women can succeed in traditionally male-dominated fields, with men taking care of the needs of their families, the fertility rate will drop sharply. But when a gender-equal social structure is stabilized, the fertility rate will go back to a relevantly high level.
