There are numerous springs in Jinan with clear water and they boast natural beauty. A saying goes that there exist a hundred springs in the city, among which 72 are most famous. Well-known springs such as Baotu Spring, Black Tiger Spring, Pearl Spring and Five Dragons Pool are among the best known while many more are hidden within the city. Springs such as Black Tiger Spring, Palace Pool (also known as Zhuoying Spring) and Qushui Pavilion Street have become part of the lives of people in Jinan.
Baotu Spring
Baotu Spring is the symbol of Jinan and is also one of the three scenic spots in the city, together with Mount Qianfo and Lake Daming. It tops the 72 most famous springs and is known as the First Spring in China.
