Should eating be banned on subways?

The regulation which banned drinking and eating in the subway of Wuhan is praiseworthy. I once went on a business trip to Wuhan. My first impression was the terrible smell in the bus. It was the mixed smell of different kinds of breakfasts, mainly---re gan mian (hot and dry noodles). As it was an air-conditioned bus the windows were closed, so you can imagine the environment inside the vehicle. I hope the same regulation will be implemented in the commute bus system, too.
