BRICS to partner closer with African countries

BRICS countries are dedicated to establishing a partnership with Africa to promote development, integration and industrialization of the continent. The IMF predicts the emerging economies will grow at 5.5 percent in 2013 and their share in the world economy will rise to 50.8 percent, overtaking the developed countries for the first time.

At the same time, Africa will become "a hopeful continent" and "a promising land for development" and will become one of the fastest growing regions in the world.

The compatible economic structures of the BRICS countries and Africa determine that the two rising groups will cooperate, given their shared belief in global governance, peace and development.

China wishes to deepen relations with BRICS countries, explore the potential for pragmatic cooperation and send united messages to the international community by the meeting in Durban.
