Korean Peninsula cannot afford a vicious cycle

The satellite launched by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has exposed the dilemma over security conditions on the Korean Peninsula.

China supports solving the issue through dialogue and negotiations, and opposes any actions that may escalate regional tension, and is also against military conflict. These principles show China's responsibility as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, care for the concerns of neighboring countries, and emphasize the point that the Korean Peninsula cannot afford such a vicious cycle.

The DPRK has the right to use space peacefully and is obliged to abide by relevant resolutions of the Security Council.
