Comment on "Japan to have murky sea drill with US" (China Daily Website, August 23)
Obviously you do not get the gist of the conversation. The Chinese green card is NOT the same as an American green card (I am not American, BTW).
The Chinese green card is NOT an immigration card. It is a 10-year residency permit. The American green card IS an immigration document.
You must be living and working (and/or investing heavily) in China for a long time before being eligible for a Chinese green card. Not so for the American one. Immigration entails becoming a citizen of another country. China doesn't have "immigration" ... yet.
