Wudang Mountains' micro-blog followers hits 100,000

The Wudang Mountains, a famous tourist attraction in Hubei province, have attracted more than 100,000 followers on the country's Twitter-like microblog service, showcasing the rapid development of the platform.

Wudang had 104,021 fans on its microblog as of 9:41 am on Nov 11, as well as 3,125 posts, 100,000 reposts and over 30,000 remarks.

The authorities of the Wudang Mountains have strived to build a multi-level and multi-channel online promotion system covering microblog, WeChat, website and mobile client.

The official microblog platform of Wudang offers comprehensive tourism information. It also encourages tourists to share their trips in Wudang with photos or words on the microblog. The posters can win a free ticket to Wudang or a mobile phone. The activity has enabled Wudang's microblog platform to enjoy "explosive growth" in its number of users.

Wudang will continue its effort on its microblog to improve services, hold more activities and draw more followers.
