Jinzhong development area of Shanxi Demonstration Area for Economic Transformation and Reform saw 14 projects signed on Feb 23.
The 14 projects with total investments amounting to 32.6 billion yuan ($5.17 billion) covers strategic emerging industries such as high-end equipment manufacturing, trade and logistics, new energy and healthcare sectors. The total output of the projects is estimated to reach 36.7 billion yuan.
An e-commerce operation center project invested by Suning.com Group, a world top 500 company, will develop a large automatic selection center in Shanxi to make logistics intelligent.
A Shanxi smart technology city project by Jinke Group, a Chinese top 500 company primarily engaging in real estate and new energy, will focus on establishing an industrial system including robot, intelligent devices, smart medical care, and cloud computing, and is expected to generate 10 billion yuan in annual revenue once completed.
These projects will set an example to develop advantaged industrial clusters and advance industrial transformation in Jinzhong city, according to Wang Cheng, party secretary of the city.
All the 14 projects will start construction before the end of December 2018.
