Several tourist cooperation agreements were signed during a "Leisure tour in beautiful Shanxi" promotional activity organized by the Shanxi provincial tourism bureau in Beijing on July 5.

Feng Jianping, head of the Shanxi provincial tourism bureau addressed the gathering, and said he hopes that Shanxi and Beijing can increase their cooperation, by promoting each other's quality travel destinations and related products.
Feng also said that Beijing and Shanxi have cooperated successfully in tourism development for several years, and they will further strengthen this cooperation to achieve more win-win results. This promotional activity in Beijing indicates a brighter future of the cooperation in tourism between the two regions. And the tourism market of Shanxi will grow rapidly following the increased cooperation, Feng added.
The activity "Leisure Tour of Beautiful Shanxi" has achieved positive results since it was launched in May this year, and the authorities have kept their promises to offer discount tickets and improved services and a more pleasant environment at scenic spots.
