Westinghouse Electric UK Holding Co and Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group will co-establish Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Pyle Nuclear Power Co in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, with a total investment of $10.02 million, Shanxi Evening Paper reported Monday.
Westinghouse Electric Corporation, a Global Top 500 company, is the world pioneer for nuclear energy and commercial nuclear power. Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group Co is a crucial supplier for nuclear lifting equipment in China and an important equipment manufacturer in Taiyuan city. The cooperative strength of both parties is complementary and will achieve a win-win situation.
Shanxi's foreign investment during the previous two months has grown. There are four newly-registered foreign invested companies in Taiyuan, with a total project investment reaching $779.35 million.
