A cultural and sports center, named X-Cube, at Nanxiang Town of Shanghai's Jiading district is under construction and expected to open to the public in early 2016.
The center, situated at the Nanxiang Shineland Industrial Park, covers an area of 15,000 square meters. It aims to meet various needs of local residents through the integration of sports activities, literature, arts and leisure entertainment.
The center features a variety of sports activities. And apart from traditional activities such as football, basketball and badminton, it plans to establish venues for squash, golf and baseball too. Sports fans can also have training lessons on yoga, taekwondo, fencing and roller-skating at the center. Moreover, diversified sports events will be organized here to promote the development of local sports industry.
In order to enrich local people's cultural life, the center will also cooperate with local cultural institutions to establish a children's theatre and set up training rooms for dance and art performance.
Leisure entertainment will also be an indispensible part of the center. People can watch movies, enjoy delicious food, go shopping and have family activities at the upcoming center.
