The eighth Shandong International Cultural Industries Fair is set to be held from Sep 19 to 23 at the Jinan West Exhibition Center in Jinan, capital of Shandong province.

According to the Shandong provincial publicity department, the fair will highlight the achievements of the province's cultural and creative industries to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The organizing committee will give full play to the event's role as an aggregation platform to promote projects, enhance dialogue as well as facilitate trade and cooperation.

This year's edition will make the most of modern scientific and technological means such as the internet-of-things and artificial intelligence, and launch interactive activities both online and offline to involve more participants.

The Shandong provincial publicity department, the Shandong provincial department of culture and tourism and the Jinan government has jointly formulated an implementation plan for the event, according to which, the two other sub-venues is located in Zaozhuang and Weihai, while the main venue in Jinan, consists of one comprehensive exhibition area and nine professional exhibition areas.

A series of cultural activities, forums, project promotions, design competitions and exhibitions will also take place during the fair.
