          Classical Dance: Like every year, the Central Ballet of China invites a French choreographer to work with its dancers. In 2013, Nicolas Paul will revive his piece ‘Replicas’ with the Central Ballet’s dancers in Beijing.

          Theater: Held in an original place with ‘Une chambre en ville’ (‘A room in the city’), in which the comedy collective Comédie de Valence (Comedy of Valence) occupy the rooms of an hotel in Beijing to perform intimate and surprising plays. Theatre director Arthur Nauzyciel, who runs the National Theater of Orléans, presents a creation in chinese of the Beckett's play The Picture, with actress Huang Lu, at the Jingcheng Palace, in partnership with People Theater of Sichuan.

          Cinema: The 10e panorama du cinéma fran?ais (10th panorama of French cinema) will take place as part of the Beijing Film Festival with the honored film, ‘Amour’, by Mickael Haneke, which was awarded Palme d’Or (Golden Palm) at the 2012 Cannes festival. The Panorama will also be held in Wuhan, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Xi’an and Nanjing as part of the Shanghai International film festival.

          New media: With les ‘Hommes debout’ (the ‘Rising Men’), the AADN company presents a series of mannequins, the result of a month-long residence in China, equipped with electronic systems that will interact with audiences in Beijing, Zhongshan, Shanghai, and Wuhan. ‘Pause’ from the artists Julien Klauss and Lynn Pook will have the audience feel the musical vibrations at unprecedented concerts held in Beijing, Guangzhou, and Wuhan.

          Visual arts: After three years of fruitful collaboration with the Arles photography festival and the Caochangdi Photospring, there is a new volume exclusively focused on French photography with the exhibition ‘Arles : une école fran?aise’ (‘Arles: a French school’), in Beijing. A major exhibition on the influence of Marcel Duchamp on Chinese contemporary artists with many works by the master, in Beijing. In Shanghai “Du geste au langage” (“From gesture to language”), a collaboration between Rockbund Art Muzeum and Louvre Muzeum, offering a reflection on the link between art and literature in China and in the West.

          Literature: Readings from celebrated authors at various unusual places in Beijing and Shanghai with ‘Les nuits illuminées et sans limites de la lecture’ (‘The illuminated and unlimited nights of reading’).

          Music:

          Conductor Philippe Jordan, musical director of the Paris National Opera, will direct the China National Symphony Orchestra, in Beijing, for closing of the festival.

          The 3rd Season of Baroque music in China is presented in Beijing and Wuhan. It will present prestigious French ensembles such as Le Banquet Céleste, or L’Eventail and les Folies fran?oises.

          The tour of the Orchestre national du Capitole de Toulouse in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, and Wuhan.

          A concert by jazzman Eric Legnini on tour in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.

          The ‘Fête de la Musique’ (‘Music Day’), this year in Guangzhou (Shunde), Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, and Wuhan, will present the caustic music of Girls in Hawai, Fowatile, April Shower, Lisa Portelli, and numerous of Chinese musicians.

          The contemporary music will be represented by the bands Pony Pony Run Run, Manceau, The Agency, and Sydney Valette during the May Day festivals (Midi Festival and Strawberry Festival in Beijing and Shanghai, and Zebra Festival in Chengdu), by Keren Ann on tour in Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Wuhan, and Shanghai, and by Les Tambours du Bronx in Beijing and Shanghai.

          ‘Le concert de dessins’ (‘the drawings concert’): unprecedented in China, it is a concert of comics that embodies the mix of cultures and disciplines. Performed in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
