The book, Old Andong, reflecting on Dangong's one hundred years of port history, was published by Liaoning Education Press. On February 20, 2012, Dandong Daily held a launching ceremony and press conference.

Old Andong shows readers the uncommon development course of the region ever since it opened a trading port more than half a century ago. It contains valuable materials from published books, newspapers, pictures and postcards. The book is a monograph of local historical records with unique perspectives, exploring the in-depth history and culture of Dandong.

At the ceremony, Dandong Daily presented books and old pictures of Yalu River Bridge to frontier officers of the Dandong Frontier Inspection Station, which is garrisoning the Sino-DPRK Friendship Bridge and the local government of Hushan town.
