Dandong Peking Opera Week came to a close at the city's cultural center on the evening of Sept 19.

The Shenyang Peking Opera Troupe affiliated with the Shenyang Art Performance Group presented a 4-day repertoire for a Dandong audience at the invitation of the Publicity Department of the Dandong Municipal CPC Committee and the Dandong Bureau of Broadcasting and Television.

As one of the national key troupes, the Shenyang troupe sent a 110-member delegation, including seven state-level opera singers, to please local ears with traditional and modern operas.

Dandong officials joined the audience for the classical modern opera Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy.
