The Dragon King, the ruler of the ocean in Chinese mythology, lives in a crystal palace and has the ability to control the clouds, rain and lives at sea.

June 13 this year was the birthday of the Dragon King according to the traditional Chinese calendar.

All Dalian fishermen took part in a ceremony for the Dragon King that dates back thousands of years. They bring pork, mutton, wine and fruit to the seaside and pray for good luck.
