The Jilin-Tumen-Huncun passenger line, dubbed the "Northeast's most beautiful railway line", made its trial operation on Aug 6, the local chinajilin.com reported on the same day.

The construction work on the line began in 2011. It is on about 361 kilometers of track for speeds of up to 250 kilometers per hour.

The line gets its "most beautiful" rating from the fact that passengers have the joy of getting a look at many scenic spots, such as Changbai Mountains, Songhua Lake and Lafa Mountain. It's also the first passenger train line in Huncun.
