Wuxi Sunac Resort, a cultural tourism zone that blends cutting-edge technology with regional features, officially opened in Wuxi's Binhu district, East China's Jiangsu province, on June 29.
With a total area of 220 hectares and a total investment of 40 billion yuan ($5.8 billion), the resort will offer tourists a top time in terms of vacation, tourism, culture, shopping and entertainment.
The site includes Sunac Land (a theme park), Sunac Mall (which includes a commercial center, Sunac Water Park, Sunac Snow Park and Sunac Ocean Park), Taihu Show Theatre and a cluster of hotels.
Certified on-site by World Record Certification Agency officials, it was recognized as the world's largest rhododendron-shaped building in 2018. It was also ratified as the world's most influential Wonder Park, with 38 advanced facilities and nine world-first projects.

During the grand opening ceremony, Liu Xia, deputy mayor of Wuxi city, expressed her hope of the resort being built into a preferred destination for family trips and a new landmark for cultural tourism.
Tian Qiang, executive director of Sunac China Holdings Limited, said in his speech that the resort will become a world-class tourism destination with advantages such as innovative attractions, a large scale and local cultural characteristics.
Sunac Land is the world's first theme park featuring the cultural traditions of the Jiangnan area, the region south of the Yangtze River Delta.
"I saw a grand warship of King Wu from the Three Kingdoms Period (220–280) and facilities resembling Yixing clay teapots," said a visitor from Chongqing city.
One star attraction in Sunac Land is the Xiake Mountain Roller Coaster, which is the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster, with speeds of up to 118 kilometers per hour.
"I can enjoy all different kinds of roller coasters at this park," said Cai Jun, a visitor from Shanghai.
Sunac Water Park keeps visitors cool during the hot summer months as its temperature is not affected by the climate, and it offers a variety of water activities.
Sunac Snow Park has designed different areas for beginners and professionals, featuring Nordic-style customs.
Visitor Xi Hui found the resort to be a good place for those traveling with kids. "The park has various facilities that meet the demands of both adults and children."
Taihu Show Theatre was chosen as "the most anticipated building set to shape the world in 2019" by CNN and is set to open in December.
