The annual Wuxi Taihu Lake Hike is coming this May with registration to be opened!
Taihu Lake Hike key details
Event date: May 7
Start point: Taihu International Exhibition Center, Qingshu Road, Wuxi
Number of participants: 10,000
Routes: beginner route - 10 km; standard group - 30 km
(note: the usual 50 km challenge route is not available due to local road construction)

Registration: begins at 10 am on March 30, April 1, and April 5. Individuals should find the event WeChat page at "活動啦平臺" (huo dong la ping tai) and register by providing name, gender, age and ID card or passport number, and pay the registration fee online.
Registration Fee: 30 yuan ($4) for the beginner group and 50 yuan ($7) for the standard group
Gear pick-up: in the run up to the event participants will be informed by WeChat and text message about the location and time for gear pick-up. Participants must remember to bring ID cards or passports. The gear backpack includes hiking clothing, hiking booklet, and a sports drink. Award: all hikers that finish the event within the specified time limit will receive a souvenir medal.
