On May 24, the 2014 Zhouzhuang Fitness Festival kicked off in Zhouzhuang Middle School.

Over 1,000 walking enthusiasts gathered in the school to take part in a walking activity. The participants, ranging from government officials and company employees to village cadres, attended to appreciate the town's charming scenery and promote a healthy lifestyle.

The walking activity, as an important part of the fitness festival, serves as a platform for the public to stay fit and communicate with each other.

The festival will run through August, during which various activities will be held, including a fishing competition, Chinese chess contest and basketball game.
