Kunshan tourist resort held a promotion in the Nanjing International Expo Center on March 15. Kunshan’s tourist brand was fully displayed through its abundant tourist resources.

According to Dong Jianguo, the deputy director of the management committee of Kunshan’s tourist resort, Kunshan tourism has been transforming itself from sightseeing tours to in-depth tours for the past two years. “Connecting the water route from Zhouzhuang to Qiandeng will be a key project of Kunshan. It is already being planned, and once a resource integration pattern is achieved, the economic benefits will be huge,” Dong said.

Kunshan attracted 18.9 million visitors in 2013, achieving tourism revenues of 20.8 billion yuan. In the future, it will aim at promoting itself as ancient water town, tourist resort, and idyllic and relaxing city as well as a national leisure resort.
