On the morning of April 29, the outcome of the selection of the 2013 Kunshan tourist specialties was revealed at Parkson Plaza in Kunshan.

The Kunshan tourist specialties selection was divided into three parts, including tourist food, tourist crafts (souvenirs) and tourist appliances. Commodities from historic and regional cultures featuring local characteristics, creativities, effectiveness, convenience all have access to the competition. At the same time, real goods or packaged goods were also provided. It took the judging groups two months to select over 100 commodities.

Through strict consideration and comparison from judging groups and experts, three categories were nominated. Each category had 10 commodities respectively. During the event, via voting from experts plus selections from the public, nine commodities from 30 nominees were eventually selected and praised as Kunshan special tourist foods, Kunshan special tourist souvenirs and crafts, and Kunshan special tourist appliances. There were more than 50 participants attending the display during the three-day commodity show. With delicate designs and prominent features, the Wansan series, Zhoushitaihe grilled duck and other Kunshan local commodities won praise from the public. Colorful and profound customs and cultures were shown through the commodity show, contributing a lot to the future development of tourism and commodities.
